Our Story

Pura Vida Beans was founded by Pablo Mata Alvarez in Davis, CA. We source 100% of our coffee from Costa Rica through the Farmers Project collective, with a focus on women-owned farms. Every bag is personally roasted by Pablo at CoRo in Berkeley, CA.
